Judith M. Bardwick, Ph.D

Dr. Judy Bardwick combines cutting-edge psychological research with practical business applications to optimize organizational performance. Dr. Bardwick is the bestselling author of Danger in the Comfort Zone. She has published scores of journal articles, papers, and book chapters on related topics.

Before establishing her consulting business in 1983, Dr. Bardwick was a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Associate Dean of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. For over 20 years, she was a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego. She was also on the board of Westcorp and Western Financial Bank and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. Her biography has appeared in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who of American Women, The Encyclopedia of American Women, and other prestigious directories.

Consulting. Using free-flow interviews and her past experiences, Judy begins by making complex issues very clear and specific. This makes solving problems much easier. Then she partners with the leaders to help them achieve behavioral changes in their teams and the organizational culture.

Executive coaching. Judy first helps leaders understand their behavior and see themselves as others see them. With that understanding, she then enables her clients to modify their behavior and become more effective leaders.

Public speaking. Judy is interested in topics such as the Psychology of Entitlement, Employee Commitment and Engagement, Cohesion and Teamwork, Plateauing in Career and Life, and Gender-Related work issues. Through her dynamic, insightful talks she aims to clarify complex corporate issues, and empower individuals and leaders to solve them.
